Dimitrios M. Mihail

Dr. Dimitrios M. Mihail is a Professor of Labor Economics and Human Resource Management at the Business Administration Department, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki.

He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the New School for Social Research, The Graduate Faculty, New York, USA. He has taught Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, Industrial Relations, Managerial Economics, European Business, European Social Policy, Human Resource Management, and Gender Studies at the New School for Social Research, University of Macedonia, and Hellenic Open University.

His research focuses on the impact of social and economic institutions on labor markets. He has published many articles in well-known journals such as Employee Relations, Personnel Review, Labour: Review of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, International Review of Applied Economics, Women in Management Review, Career Development International, Human Resource Development International, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, European Management Review, International Journal of Manpower.

Professor Mihail was a member of the Econometric Unit at the Bank of Greece, Athens and has led the MBA program at the University of Macedonia for four years.
