Prof Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki
Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. She holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Her PhD thesis was funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Immediately after her PhD studies, she received a fellowship award by the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC), UK, in order to pursue post-doctoral research at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
Her research interests refer to case study methodology, international marketing, consumer behaviour, advertising and entrepreneurship. She has published in various academic journals including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, International Business Review, Journal of World Business, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Ethics, European Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing. She is a member of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC), European Academy of International Business (EIBA) and the Greek Marketing Academy.
